Happy Fair Trade to you all! Did you know that 52% of Fair Trade companies globally have women as the CEO? This is compared to 9% of conventional businesses. As Mothers’ Day and Fair Trade day fall so close together, we can’t help but take a moment to celebrate women leaders who care about their employees as they do their families. At Sabahar, 60% of our employees are women, 60% of our Management Team positions are held by women and our General Manager and Founder is a woman! Sabahar could not exist without the support and advocacy of our customers and buyers who are working to educate the world about how to buy ethically made, environmentally sustainable products.
